Totally Qabil-E-Tareef

Its been months since I wrote something on my blog and I just HAD to take some time off my busy schedule to post something here!
I have so many fun posts lined up so lets get this running nowwww!

You guys know my love for good food & recently after hearing about Qabil-E-Tareef near Pimpri I just had to pay a visit with my all time favourite companion, my brother! It was slightly far for us but totally worth the long drive via Aundh in Pune! The directions were really accurate and we didn't have to ask anyone or refer to Google even!
Once we got there, the first thing we noticed, was the lovely decor right from the entrance. They have a gorgeous door at the entrance which just adds to the whole Mughal theme.

Getting on with the food bit, we were super hungry by the time we got there, so we started our meal with a small portion of Chicken Paaya Soup - this was a light soup almost like chicken stock which was hot n flavoursome. A great way to lightly start a meal. We also had Masala papad - It was crispy with lots of cheese on the salad part of the papad which was yummy!

We ordered Chaas & Lassi - true to its Mughal spread , the options are very 'desi' you won't find your typical 'bloody mary' cocktails but some good wine for alcoholic preferences and Chaas or Lassi etc My brother was over ambitious haha so he opted for Lassi : not too sweet & garnished with dry fruits but slightly thick & creamy which is great but if you plan on eating heavy, chose the Chass option as its lighter on the tummy. Chaas : salty , light , appetising & lightly creamy, perfect accompaniment for some kebab starters maybe.

Moving onto the appetizers, we had Malai Broccoli - I LOVE broccoli and this dish was basically crunchy broccoli florets coated with rich, creamy malai dressing which was Such a WIN! We also had Angaari Zafrani Tikka - which was chucks of soft, succulent & fresh chicken covered in a rich, milky / malai flavour, Such a delight! I must mention the portions are well sized and the dishes could easily be shared by 2-3 people.

For the main course, we ordered, Kumbh Makkai Paneer - which had soft & fresh paneer (cottage cheese) with sweet corn kernels. I assumed the dish would be sweet but it wasn't which is how I prefer it honestly. I'm not too fond of certain dishes which have a sweet-ish flavour to them. So this dish was good inspite of having sweet corn kernels. Being a hard core meat lover, we had to try the Gosht Nawabi - which was a preparation that included mushrooms & capsicum too buit it actually tasted good. Have to say, the mutton was very fresh, soft & not chewy.

My brother even tasted some Chicken Biryani - that had mint, saffron & lemon flavours. The chicken was soft & fresh, good quality basmati fragrant rice & had the right amount of spices. We had Kulcha (Onion & Butter) - which was well prepared but there are lots of options for Indian breads or rotis as we call them. Missi , laccha , naan makai Roti etc. For dessert we had Rabdi which according to my brother was yummy. I just couldn't eat any more as I was already so stuffed!

Overall we both really enjoyed our meal, the service was good. You may have to reserve a table as i noticed the place got full after a while. It's open all day from 12pm onwards so you can lazily walk in by even 4pm & you can find yourself something to eat. A bonus point for the decor as the place was beautifully done up. I even shot two looks there which i shall share with you guys in the following posts so stay tuned to check out the gorgeous venue!

ShopOlympics feat Phoenix Marketcity Pune

Recently, Phoenix Marketcity - Pune had a super fun event / contest for us, bloggers! It was held in the mall itself and was aptly called "ShopOlympics" haha!
It was such a fun event!! Interacting with fellow bloggers not only from my own city but also from Mumbai made this such a memorable experience!

We were challenged to style as many outfits as possible within a fixed budget of 5000/- for all the outfits!! So tough isn't it? That's what we thought too! ;) But then, there was a catch too! We could not goose our preferred brands! We had to pick out chits from an array of 'one-stop-shops' like Pantaloons, Max etc !!

Summer Getaway Beach Look

Now, honestly I was really skeptical initially what I'd find in these stores but was pleasantly surprised!! I picked out a chit that said "UNLIMITED" and I didn't even know such a brand existed! But I loved the outfits I styled eventually and boy, are they super affordable!!

I styled 4 outfits containing so many individual pieces so imagine the prices! ;)

Laidback Sunday Brunch Look

Empurple - All About Wood Watches by JORD

I have always had a HUGE fetish for watches and the one thing I happen to buy for myself from wherever is a WATCH!! Having over 20 pieces of timeless perfections is something I proudly boast of, having got them from my own earnings! :)

Recently I came across Wood Watches by JORD and really, it was Love At First Sight! JORD is run by artists, designers, marketers, and minders. They are creative & focused on creating timepieces that are modeled after a modern lifestyle. They value sustainability, efficiency, and experiential living. Their watches are for people who don't just have somewhere to be, they have somewhere to go.

The value of a watch for JORD is not in being able to tell how much time has passed, but in being aware of the need to make that time count. Moments are bigger than minutes and your watch should tell more than time! And this is absolutely true!

Their watches are made of Sandalwood, Maple, Ebony, Rosewood, Koa, Purpleheart, Zebrawood & Bamboo! Their watch movements are amazing! From self winding automatic mechanical to battery powered quartz movements, they make it all.

Don't forget to check out their website: and here is a happy discount for you guys:

Will You Be My Valentine?

I hate that people keep asking me whom I'm going on a 'date' with this Valentine's Day. Why do we girls HAVE to celebrate V-Day by going on a 'Date' with a boy? Does the concept of 'Love' revolve only around a partner from the opposite sex?

Many of you all probably don't know that I was in an awesome relationship with an even more awesome person which didn't work out in my favour and he left even though I loved him immensely. This was my second relationship & probably my last one for the next couple of years! Thankfully, I've finally moved on & I'm happily single! My love, hereon is TRAVEL! ;)

I'm working (super hard) and earning whatever I can, just to go off exploring far off places to meet different people, cultures, art, architecture, food & more!

Will you follow me on my wanderlust journey?

Today I wanted to share a piece of my mind with my lovely readers here. Why is every Valentine's Day associated with only a 'LOVER' ?? Why can't we humans, just celebrate 'LOVE' as it is? I love my mom, my dad, my little brother & my dear pet dog. Why can't we celebrate our love for all of them too? How many of us have expressed our love for our family for their immense support in our good or bad times? How many of us have expressed our love for our close friends who have stuck by us when we were at our horrible best & weren't capable of giving any companionship at all? It's so sad that for Valentine's Day most of the stores only sell merchandise expressing love for a lover / partner and not the rest of the people who probably deserve it more?!

I know, all this may sound pretty random , but this thought just struck me out of the blue while I was browsing some store selling cute stuff for V-Day & I couldn't help but pen down my views here for you guys. As for my Valentine's Day plan, I'm going out for an awesome Sunday Brunch with my girl pals, cooking a meal for my family at home for dinner & treating myself to an awesome spa! BINGO! Isn't that the perfect way to show your love for your friends, family & most importantly, YOURSELF?

This gorgeous dress is one I picked up for myself from Chicwish! I've already spoken about them in my previous posts Here & Here !! Go check out the website and I bet you won't be disappointed!
My fabulous watch which happened to match my outfit is by Daniel Wellington. Check out their awesome watches Here

Pictures were shot by Kruthika Pillai of course!! Isn't her work awesome? ;)

Mad about Marsala - How To Style A Flared Skirt

In one of my previous recent posts I mentioned buying this knit grey dress for the Pune winter this season and while experimenting with the dress I figured I can wear it like a loose laidback top as well! I landed up wearing it like a top, tucked into my marsala coloured flaired skirt and some comfy boots.

Marsala is a wine, dry or sweet, produced in the region surrounding the Italian city of Marsala in Sicily & the rich earthy, robust shade was named as the Colour of The Year in 2015. It's been a favourite ever since!!

I met my blogger buddy turned close friend, Aleena (Check out her blog here) one early morning to catch the fog and shoot a foggy winter-y look. Clearly we never have a dull moment when we are together.

The knit top/dress is from Chicwish and I cannot stop raving about this website for its variety and quick shipping inspite of it being an international website. Also, I did not face any issue with customs at all! Win Win!! Don't forget to check out the website here:

And of course the super awesome photography is by Kruthika Pillai !! :D

Skirt: Romwe
Dress worn as Top: Chicwish
Boots: Alcott
Clutch: Borrowed from Aleena
Accessories: Swarovski, Fossil

Hope you loved the post!
